 About Me
My name is Peter Nilsson. I live in the city of Malmö, Sweden, but grew up near the forest in the province Småland. As children we were often in the woods and played and learned to appreciate what the nature has to offer. When I later began photographing more seriously in the fall of 2007, I rediscovered the nice feeling of being out in our beautiful nature.
I like the large landscapes and dramatic coastal environments, but also the small-scale nature, with its lines and colors appeals to my image vision.
I have borrowed the expression "intimate landscapes", and think it very well describes what you can find if you take a moment and look at the small things around you. I also enjoy photographing wildlife when I get the opportunity.
The light is extremely important in my images. It is at sunrise and sunset I believe you will find the best light, and it is then you will find me out there with the camera. I photgraph a lot of the nearby landscape and coast line, but I also do some travelling with photography as the main purpose. It has taken me to Africa, Southwest USA, Iceland and Norway. I will certainly return to these places and also travel to new destinations in the future.
